This lovely pattern is called Interlock, and it’s free for mailing list subscribers. All you have to do is enter your name and email address in the form below. Then, and this is the important bit, go check your email. You’ll have a confirmation email from me. Click the button in that email to complete your subscription.
About half an hour later, you’ll get an email with instructions on how to download the pattern (don’t panic, it’s coming, there are a surprising number of moving pieces, so it can take a while, but I promise it’s coming!).
This usually works very smoothly, but every now and then technology plays tricks with us. But I can help:
- If you don’t see your confirmation email or instruction email after about half an hour, check your spam or junk mail folders. You can also try whitelisting the email address the emails come from. There’s a guide on how to do that over here, the address you want to add is [email protected] (this is especially important for hotmail addresses, if you still have one of those, you pretty much have to whitelist that address or you won’t ever hear from me).
- If you’re not sure if you’re on the mailing list, fill out the form. If you’re already on the list, it will say so and then it will send you an email with download instructions (again, give it about half an hour before you worry the email has gone astray, it takes it a little while). And if you’re not on the list, it will send you a confirmation email and then send you the an email with download instructions once you’ve hit the button in the confirmation email.
- If you’re having trouble with the ravelry side of things, try copy/pasting your code here (instead of trying to get to the pattern from within ravelry or typing your code manually). Also be sure you didn’t include any spaces at the beginning or end of your code. If ravelry says your code has already been used (that’s unlikely, but it could happen if someone else makes a typo putting in their code and that typoed version happens to match up with your code), fill out the form again. It will tell you you’re already on the list, and then send you an email with another code in a little while.
So far (after thousands and thousands and thousands of smooth signups and a tiny handful of questions), every single problem I’ve seen has been either “you made a typo in your email address,” “you didn’t hit the confirm button in the subscription confirmation email”, “you didn’t wait long enough after you hit the confirm button,” or “your spam folder ate it” (this is especially common with hotmail email addresses, you pretty much have to whitelist as described above if you have a hotmail address).
