With that out of the way
Published On: April 29, 2021

Ok, with our swatching all taken care of (remember this one was four ‘do I like the stitch in this yarn’ swatches and two ‘do I like the fabric at this gauge’ swatches, so nothing too daunting), it’s time to cast on.

I settled on Hypothesis Yarns’ Tweed DK in Wildcat and Shibui Knits Silk Cloud in Cove. And the two held together do something suspiciously magical that I cannot quite explain but absolutely adore.

At some point, I will show you the fabric with both yarns sitting on it and you’ll look at it and go ‘huh, how do they DO that’ and I will admit that I have no idea but that I’m glad they do.

But first, first I have to actually create some of that fabric before I can show it off to you. Onward!

(Oh, and if you’ve just now noticed that I cast on over two needles and find yourself Very Concerned and are about to send me an email telling me that I’m In Terrible Danger Of Ruining My Knitting, allow me to direct you to a couple of old posts where I explained why I do it that way and why it’s ok.  Because I super duper pinky swear that it is ok, and that it won’t wreck anything, and that this is not something you need to worry about!)
