Countdown 19
Published On: December 19, 2020

Shoreland Socks is on sale for 25% off on ravelry or payhip with the code COUNTDOWN.

This is my most recent book…and it’s almost certainly my last book for a while. I’ve done at least one book a year, every year, since 2011.  Taking away that structure this year felt really odd (a book takes about a year to create, and for the last nine years I mostly measured time by which book I was planning, writing, releasing, or promoting at any given time). Given the Series of Exciting Global Catastrophes that 2020 brought, it was probably really good that I wasn’t trying to manage a book this year (I get really really stressed when things don’t go according to my schedule, and there is no chance that the huge number of moving parts invovled in making a book happen would have stayed on schedule, no matter how hard I tried).  But if one of them has to be the last one, I’m glad it was this one.  Those are my husband’s feet on the front cover.  I took that picture while he perched on a rock I can see out my office window when the tide is out.  My friends modeled for me, both in my back yard and at my favorite local beach. And the patterns are all socks, which were my first knitting love. It feels like a good place to leave things (at least for a while)!

What’s going on? I’m doing a December countdown! Now through Christmas Eve, I’m putting one pattern a day on sale for 25% off. Each sale only runs one day (until 11:59pm eastern time), so grab it while you can. Each day’s sale is listed here on the blog, on instagram, and on twitter, so you can keep up with it wherever you like best (because wow am I not filling everyone’s inbox with email about this every day, I’m not a monster).
