And so it begins!
Just a heads up, this is going to be one of the very very few things I knit where I don’t do a pattern. This color is flat out impossible for me to photograph consistently or accurately. Taking pattern photos of a project made with this yarn would be a constant headache, and I don’t want to do it.
Now, it is Just Barely Possible that I’ll love the pattern well enough that I want to knit it (or more likely, something related to it but not identical) again at some point in a more mellow yarn.
But every now and then if I knit something and say I don’t plan to write it up, people get real weird (no, really, way weirder than you’d expect). I’m mentioning ahead of time that the orange hat of orange is not going to be a pattern to try and ward off the weird. We’ll see how well that works.
You mean random strangers feel entitled to demand stuff from you? I’m sorry that’s the case. I’m often shocked by the stories designers share. I wonder where that behavior comes from. Maybe their parents never told them no?
I think you should be allowed to knit stuff just for you sometimes and share it on the internet, without suffering harassment.
Have fun!! What a blessing and gift to be able to imagine something and then be able to create it. I am fortunate if I am able to follow a well written pattern.
