So around here, there are two sorts of knits in the woollies bin (tell me you have a woollies bin by the back door, I can’t be the only one). There are the Super Flashy ones with the Bright Colors and the Fancy Stitches and the Weird Bits that are So Much Fun To Knit. And then there are the slightly more sedate ones in the more neutral colors and more subdued textures that get worn over and over and over and over again.  This are firmly in that second category.  Now don’t get me wrong, the more sedate knits are still beautiful and still fun to make (I mean really, just look at that texture).  They just sort of already know they’re damn cool and don’t need to shout about it quite as much as as some of their flashier fellows.

(Pssst, this is a reminder that some time in January I’m taking most of the patterns that should have been two separate patterns to begin with and raising the prices on them to better reflect that they’re really a set of patterns. I do not have a full list of which patterns I’m doing that to, but if you look at it and think ‘hmmm, that appears to be a hat and a fingerless mitt’ or ‘hmmm, that appears to be several completely different hats’ there’s a darn good chance it’ll be changing. I only mention this so you can grab it now if you’ve been meaning to but putting it off.)
