More cheer, more assembly
The paper stars are not the only absurd seasonal obsession. They have a companion.
And, much as with their more colorful counterparts, I also will not tell you how to make them.
For I am mean and terrible and full of hate.
I did, however, lay a whole bunch of it out last year.
And you could, if so inclined, to read that post (which also totally doesn’t actually tell you how to make them, but sort of points you in the right direction and gives you a firm push).
You know, in case that sort of thing was of interest to you.
While I love straw stars (and I remember making them as a kid, but without the nifty forms to hold the straw into shapes), they are far too fiddly for me to make. I’ll stick with the paper stars 😉
Thank you for sharing this. Inspired by your post, I ordered the supplies and threw myself into making these lovely stars. This year, due to a nerve issue in my right shoulder I have not been able to knit, and have struggled to find creative outlets that: 1.) I could manage without aggravating this injury and 2.) are so absorbing that they provide a meditative distraction from all that is distressing in the world. In this project, I found delight and peace. Making stars and gifting them to friends this year has given me a joy that has been so hard to find. Thank you so much.
I wish you the very best of comfort, joy, and peace for this winter season, and thank you for all the joy that your creations- knitted and non-, bring to my day.
