Ok, so this is half hat, half excuse to really dive in and say everything I ever wanted to say about pompoms all in one place.  And somehow, somewhere along the way, it also turned into ‘how to ad random speckles to your knitting as though that were a totally normal thing people wanted to do.’  The end result really is fun though…nice simple hat topped with the perfect pompom.  It’s another of those patterns where you can make the same thing for everyone and just mix up the colors and pompom style as needed to make them all individual!
