Let’s have some more of that, shall we?
While I was distracting you with the fetching orange striped mitts, the hat decided to get bigger.
Quite a bit bigger actually…
So big that I may only have room for five colors (the set comes with six, and I’d hoped to have room for them all, but that may not quite work out).
I’m torn between the pale green, and the yellow. The green feels a little cooler, somehow more sedate. And the yellow more cheerful. I think either is probably actually fine…but somehow that makes the choice all the harder.
If you are looking for a vote on the color choice, I would suggest the yellow. Here’s why. 1) in looking more closely at the background yarn, more yellow is visible than pale green, which will mean that the yellow will bring out the background more and 2) you already have a green and even though they are two different colors, the hat will read better with the yellow than what will probably look like just a wider green stripe when it’s being worn.
Just for informational purposes, I’m not a yellow fan at all so for me to vote for the yellow shows that I really think it will look better! And just for the record, I love the hat! Very cool!
I think the only thing to do is a second hat, with the colours shaded the other way and using whichever lightest colour you didn’t use for the first hat. This hat looks fabulous, though.
The 6th colour could be the pompom on top.
Both? Two hats?
OK. I prefer the yellow 🙂
I agree with going yellow, but for a different reason- the yellow brings out the intensity of all the other colors while the green makes them less bright somehow.
