I get all the best mail
So there’s this thing where I have an idea, then I talk to some of my very favorite yarn makers, then they send me yarn, then I play with it. I believe technically it’s called ‘my job,’ but really it feels like way too much fun to be a job.
Two of the latest yarns to arrive (they’re for next year’s book) are from Blue Moon Fiber Arts.
The first is Yaksi Fingering in Poupon (tell me I’m not the only one to be amused by yak…that’s just nifty).
And the next is Socks that Rock Mediumweight in A Hazy Shade of Blue (love STR because it’s twisted tightly enough to make for really really sturdy socks).
Both are delightful, and both might already have found themselves coerced into swatches.
Those yaksi yarns are my faaaaaaaaaaavorite.
Why do I recognize both of those swatches? 🙂 Can’t wait to get my hands on these!
I am always in search of a good gold color with a shimmer. may have to get some!
It is taking a huge amount of willpower not to go try to buy hanks of these for my very own right now. : ) I do not know how long I will hold out. : )
I love the blue (of course), and I love the name Poupon for that mustardy color; but I am thinking “swooooon” over those swatches. Can’t wait to see what they become! And I wish I could figure out what “job” would suit me as well as yours suits you. 🙂
