Yup
Slipper? Slipper!
Still entertained? Uh huh.
Feel bad about that? Not even a little.
Almost done? 3 rows and a toe to go.
Gonna do a pattern? Yup, totally.
When? I’ll write it soonish, but my guess is it won’t be out till the fall. They feel like a nice September sort of pattern, but I’m making no promises.
But what if I want it now? I know, I’m mean. Or, possibly, there are lots of other things on the schedule ahead of it (you know, like Curls 2), and it takes a while to make sure the pattern is really good. But it totally could just be that I’m mean.
They would make wonderful holiday gifts for the ladies in my family. (Just sayin’.) But a September release should give me enough time to do a few. Looking forward to the pattern release!
Yeah, if you’re not me (and so don’t rip out three perfectly good starts to the project to find just the right yarn…and then don’t get distracted by seven other shiny things), they’re pretty fast. I think the pair will use something like 225 yards of aran yarn, so it’s not a daunting amount of knitting. And if it’s September’s pattern it will come out early in the month (first Tuesday), so there will still be loads of time before the holidays.
I can wait. 🙂
Truly, I love them and they look/sound like they will be a fun knit!
LOL – laughing at the idea of you being mean. I can’t even describe the picture I’m getting. 🙂
A September release is perfect. I will have time to finish the other slipper pattern of yours that I’ve cast on (no promises that will happen, but there is time), and to obtain just the right yarn for these so I can cast on immediately. 🙂 Please tell us what yarn you are using when you post the “the knitting is finished” picture, pretty pretty please? 🙂 (Because maybe you’ve already told us, but I’ve forgotten already.)
It’s Caper Aran by String Theory, which is, alas, discontinued. Though I’ll see if I can find a good substitute (and I’ll write the pattern at several gauges most likely, so it should be pretty flexible when it comes to yarn).
I love these and don’t mind the wait. They are a perfect “looking forward to” project.
I’ll wait patiently. 🙂
Yes, completely mean?. That puts it into Spring for me and you will be leaving me with cold feet all Winter. ☺️
Oh man, sneaky hemispheres and their unseemly effects on seasons…clearly we need a knitting accelerator program to bring about pattern parity!
I too will wait patiently, and start looking for yarn now!
!! Gorgeous! I love how you constructed these and can’t wait to give it a whirl. 🙂
Totally love the slippers. I can’t wait for the pattern. I have several people asking for slippers.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!!!! And will wait patiently! ;(
These look wonderful!!! But I’ll take Curls 2 if I had to choose, just saying…:)
Oh that’s all done and just about to go off to the printer. But I’ve got to do something while it’s printed and heads this way!
Can you tell me he stitch pattern or where to find that stitch? I love it and can’t ever find it in a stitch book or online because I don’t know the name of it! Please and thanks
It’s something I made up, though I’m sure someone else has done it somewhere along the line too (there’s very little new in knitting). But the pattern should be available to buy in June!
