Blankie
I have been led to believe I am not supposed to actually walk around in public with a blanket wrapped around my shoulders. So I’m going to do the closest thing I can manage and still maintain my (marginal) level of social acceptability. I think that’s a cowl.
It’s String Theory’s Caper Aran (also known as one of my very favorite sock yarns ever) in Didgeridoo. And it’s mine, and you can’t have it. With any luck at all, just as soon as I finish it we’ll get a thaw and I won’t need it anymore.
That yarn and pattern match up perfectly! It’s going to be beautiful.
Love the color and looking forward to seeing how the stitch pattern progresses. It certainly has been cold and snowy this week in Cleveland! (sjn821 on Rav)
Love this color yarn. I love wearing cowls when it’s cold. Can’t wait to see more!
Lovely yarn but one of the best opening blog lines ever!
Please. I see teenagers at the mall all the time with “blanket scarves.” You know they just took a blanket off the shelf and wrapped it around their Becky ?
Please do a book of Cowls next. They are fun to knit and fun to wear and much appreciated gifts and the yarns are endless. I dare say you would be good at it !
This is a genius idea!
A cowl book would be amazing!!
You can definitely wear a blanket outside! It’s totally the rage, and every other girl on my college campus wears on :D.
It was my understanding that Caper Aran was discontinued….true? Maybe not?
Not sure! It would be a bummer if it was. I know I got some back in the fall of 2014, but that’s the last time I stocked up.
Karen from String Theory has Seven Sisters Arts now and here yarn is beautiful
