Insufficient
According to the little weather gizmo on my shelf, it’s 14 degrees outside. This is an entirely insufficient number of degrees. I do not love you enough to go outside in that, much less to drag poor Verity out to stand in the snow (even if I would drape her in wool first). So instead you’re getting a picture of this taken in my office.
Now you’ll note my office has dark red walls (um, also books, books and hand forms and jars of needles). And you may also have noticed that it’s January, and the yarn is dark. So trust me when I say you’re likely losing something in translation. But even so, I think this turned into a rather lovely little thing if I do say so myself.
It’s beautiful!
Pretty indeed. Well done, lighting and all.
And when do WE get to knit this lovely??!!
Oh, somewhere down the line! It’s all slotted into the Giant Calendar Of Looming Doom that hangs on the wall above my left shoulder, but a few other fun things have to make their way out first.
Hunter,
It is truly, truly beautiful! It is the color of deep blue ocean that you only see in winter below the chalk cliffs in Rugen…. I think many folks need and want one to keep the winter chill at a distance. This weather is measured in serious hot chocolate with real cream…whipped, frozen and cut into snowflake shapes to decorate the cups.
Oh that color! Like a drapeable jewel.
This photo alone may talk me into making a cowl of that size. That looks so comfy and warm, and much better draped over the shoulders than my usual blanket.
Also, I love the deep blue, and the bookshelves neatly full of books, and I’m amused at the number of hand forms you own. Somehow I thought there was just the one of those. 🙂
Hi Hunter! Is this pattern out yet? I didn’t see it in Rav but wasn’t sure if I was missing it or it’s in a book somewhere. Thanks!
No, that one’s not out, sorry!
