Beginnings
Somehow, even after spending large chunks of Saturday and Sunday taking photos for Curls 2, I still wasn’t quite done playing with yarn. So on Sunday evening, this happened.
It’s going to be a hat for The Boy, and it’s made with one of the yarns I grabbed when we were up in Maine earlier this year. It’s my first try at a fingering weight hat (normally I go thicker), and I’m a little worried I’ll get bored somewhere in the middle and fall down and die. But it’s a fast stitch pattern (slipped stitches always are) and knit at a nice loose gauge, so there is at least some hope I’ll make it through alive. But if any of you want to come work a round or two, I won’t say no…
Very, very nice, Hunter!! I WANT THIS NOW (please).
Hah, well first I have to knit it, then write it, then test/edit it, then get photos, then I can put it out! My guess is some time in the first half of next year. But failing an epic problem, it should show up eventually!
Please don’t fall down or out and die (although I totally understand). Enjoy the yarn and the project. Even that little bit looks great!
Such a lovely photo! A favorite of mine, as of late. Happy knitting.
I’ll knit a few rows. (Pity I’m in Australia. A little too far to drop in and contribute)
And now I want to set up a chain letter style knit where everyone knits a row and mails it on to the next person…
