Preorder Schedule
Fine Things goes up for preorder on later this week. I want to lay out the schedule ahead of time, just so everyone knows what to expect!
Thursday, November 19, noon eastern time: Preorders open
During the preorder, the physical book is $3.00 off the regular price ($26.95 instead of $29.95). The electronic book is $2.00 off the regular price ($19.95 instead of $21.95). As always, if you order the physical book directly from me, you’ll get the electronic book for free.
Everyone who orders the physical or electronic book during the preorder will also get a free electronic copy of Changeful, a set of three lovely sock patterns, to keep your needles busy between now and when Fine Things goes live. Everyone who orders the physical book on the nineteenth will also get a paper copy of the Changeful pattern too.
Tuesday, November 24, noon eastern time: Preorders close
The prices will go up to their regular level, the full electronic version will go live, and physical copies will start shipping.
Shipping usually takes a few days (the postman can only take so many packages a day!), but everything should be in the mail before the end of November. And of course you’ll have your electronic version right away.
Next Steps
Come back on noon on the 19th! And if you want me to send you a reminder that day, just make sure you’re on the mailing list and I’ll totally send you a message when the preorder starts.
I don’t buy many physical books, but you had me at ettiquette! Looking forward to this one.
Can I assume that if we preorder we’ll get our book by Christmas?
Good question! Can we assume the book will be here befor Christmas?
They should all be in the mail by the end of November. So unless you live overseas, it should totally be there before Christmas.
Most overseas places should get theirs by Christmas too, but it’s a little bit less predictable (especially Australia in my experience). So if you’re outside of the US, there’s a small chance it might not, but for everyone else, yes, totally.
I LOVE the picture of the stack of socks! : )
Ooooh… I want it so much, but it looks like shipping to Europe is cost-prohibitive 🙁
Yeah, international shipping costs a fortune (trust me, I know, it’s what I have to pay them to get it there). But the good news is I have a distributor in the UK, so you can likely ask your local yarn shop to get it for you.
But then I don’t get the extra sock pattern and the e-book too! sigh.
Though I *do* have family in the US and I *am* overdue for a visit… ::ponder::
I’ve totally had overseas folks order the book and have me send it to family in the states, who then turn around and tuck it in the next box heading their way. It’s sometimes the easiest/most cost effective way! And if that family might just happen to be sending a holiday box your way anyways, could totally be the thing to do.
But I promise postage is way cheaper than a plane ticket!
