Fulvous & The Plucky Knitter
I’ve already professed my love for the two extremes of the cable spectrum. The last project satisfied my need for the big meaty cables, this one takes care of my undying fondness for teeny tiny cables. Just to make things even more interesting, there’s a bit of dropped stitch action going on, too. The result is a dense, substantial, deeply textured fabric with marvelous body. You’ll know you have this on, and you’ll love snuggling up in it.
Of course it’s hard not to love being snuggled in swaths of 55% cashmere and 45% merino yarn dyed by the lovely folks at The Plucky Knitter. My fondness for designing in their yarns is well established. I am pretty hopelessly smitten with all they do. But most of my projects with them have been in lighter yarns. This was one of the few times I’ve played with their thicker lines, and I’m impressed as always. It’s substantial without being heavy, it feels delightful while you’re knitting, and it holds up beautifully over time. I know you’ll love it!
This is another one of my favorite patterns in the book. I just love those dropped stitches in the cables. I can’t wait to make on of my own! I have the yarn picked out already and everything.
This is another gorgeous one. I love the way the repeated pattern plays out across the fabric.
Absolutely beautiful!
I think that’s my favorite pattern so far, it’s gorgeous!
I love that you are pairing the wraps with the yarns. It is like icing for the cake or toppings for the ice-cream. Thank you.
drop sts and cables does it get any better. well I guess it might since it is knit in cashmere and merino.
last winter my little sister was fondling an older scarf of mine it was wide and long and a cashmere blend. since I had worn it many many years I decided she could have it because she was going to sneak it into her luggage when I wasn’t looking. but with the extreme cold we are already having this fall I have been missing it. this yarn might be the answer.
Love the color and versatility of wearing this curl in a variety of ways. Beautiful.
One of my top 3 designs in the book! I have 3 skeins of Bella fingering weight in a gorgeous red; this might be where it needs to be used.
Dropped stitches and cables, this will be a great fun to knit!
I just finished a cowl out of bello, and wow, that’s some sweet yarn. I love this design!
ooooh, a Plucky yarn! I love the sound of this one!
