Universally Acknowledged
I feel a crushing need to start this post with a shameless riff on the opening of Pride and Prejudice, but I’m trying to suppress my baser instincts. We’ll just leave it that I am most definitely in want of the mate to this sock.
That’s Pediboo Sport by Frog Tree, and I’m delighted with how it worked up. I’ll be writing the pattern for these down before I knit the second one and will likely be calling for testers for it in the next week or two (If you’re itching to test, there’s information over here on how to sign up to be notified when tests are coming up).
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to block a dozen or so frilly lacy bits. I’m planning a practice photo shoot for the next book this weekend, and I want everything to look its best!
a photo shoot already? Excellent! : )
(also, the Frog Tree link appears to be broken?)
Man, oh man, I have a skein of Handmaiden Mint Casbah that really, really wants to be that sock. (And the heck with the “boy sock” designation, these would be for me.)
Please release it, oh dear Hunter!
I will! I just have to, you know, knit the second one…write it down…get proper pictures, that dance!
And really, anything I call a boy sock really just means I, personally, happen to be knitting it for a boy. I’d never suggest they weren’t perfectly suitable for anyone who liked them!
Well, OK. I guess I can wait, if I *have* to. ;o)
I’ll just have to finish the three other pairs of socks I have OTN right now, so I’ll have the decks cleared for those beauties.
Oooh yes! I’ve a ‘boy’ of my own who could do with a pair of those! I am perpetually stalking Ravelry to jump on the test knit, so no doubt it will go up on THE only day I’m out of town – gah! 🙂
