I’m worried a few of you may be laboring under a terrible misconception.  One or two of you may have gotten the sense that there’s not been much knitting around here.  After all, the last thing I showed you I knit was the Trey cuff back in early June (which was itself my attempt to remind myself that I do indeed like knitting).  But just because I haven’t been showing you much knitting doesn’t mean I’ve not been stabbing yarn with needles on a regular basis.

Quite the contrary.  It’s just that I’ve not been showing you what I’m knitting.  For you see, the yarn for a new book has started to arrive, and I’ve been knitting like a fiend (even if it is mostly swatches).

new book yarnsNow just to clear, these aren’t the next book’s yarns.  Those are over here and are a good bit brighter.  This is the start of the book after that (the one coming in the fall of 2015).  These are some of the sock yarns I’ll be using (yes, they are a bit more subdued than the yarns for KCC3, what can I say, I’m fickle).

Starting from the top middle and working clockwise, we’ve got Mrs. Crosby Train Case in Boston Fern, Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in Buckingham Fountain, Shibui Staccato in Caffeine and The Uncommon Thread Lush Twist in Tea Smoked.  I adore how they all play together and have had entirely too much fun finding the perfect delicate shades after the brights of the last few projects.  There is more yarn coming, and much more swatching to be done, but I promise, there is knitting being done!
