Colophon

The freshly revamped and rereleased pattern for Colophon is now up on ravelry.  Pics first, then info, but do read on because I’ve got yarn to give away too!

colophon interior smallI know these are simple little bits of knitting, but I admit I’m rather taken with them.  They work in any sock or fingering weight yarn and need shockingly little yardage.  The sample shown here used 125 yards of Space Cadet Creations’ Ester (shown here in a custom club colorway, but if you are looking for a purple, their Plume is smashing and will fill all your purple needs).  In addition to working magic with tiny amounts of yarn, these are also astonishingly stretchy.  They measure about 5 inches unstretched, but comfortably stretch to over 9 inches.  The sample shown here fits Laura (she’s graciously modeling them for me), fits me with my giant man hands, and fits The Boy (with his even bigger and more manly hands).  All that, and they’re easy to knit too (it’s just a 4-row repeat, you’ll have it memorized in no time).  I’m not really sure what else to ask for!

Comments left between now and the end of the day (eastern time) Sunday, May 18, 2014 will be entered to win.  I’ll pick a winner, contact them to get their addresses, and arrange to send yarn their way.  Be sure to use a real email address so I can contact you if you’ve won (I won’t do anything with those email addresses besides notify the winner).  If I do email you, I need to hear back from you within 72 hours or I will pick a new winner and contact them.  Sorry, but I can only send prizes to US addresses.

One more pic because I want to and it makes me happy!  And one more shameless link to the Colophon page on ravelry in case they might make you happy too!
