Lucent
Ok, important stuff first (but do read to the end, I’ve got yarn to give away). This is Lucent.
It’s a marvelous little hat and cuff set. It was a Woolen Rabbit club pattern back in the fall. Ever since it came out, I’ve had oodles of folks asking when it could be theirs. I don’t blame them for being impatient (I’ve been eager to have this one out in the world too), and I’m delighted to say that the wait is over. The pattern is now available.
I adore this set. The starburst is unreasonably fun to knit (and way easier than it looks), and the rest of the hat is in stockinette, so it just zips along. The asymmetrical shape makes it adorable on everyone. And the little cuff is perfect instant gratification knitting. I love cuffs like this, somewhere between bracelet and wrist warmer, super cute and surprisingly useful.
And, just to make this more fun, I’ve got a skein of Woolen Rabbit’s Emma in the color Gatsby (that’s the yarn used to make this set) to send home with one of you. Just leave a comment telling me what you’re going to cast on next, and it could be yours!
Comments left between now and the end of the day (eastern time) Saturday, May 3, 2014 will be entered to win. I’ll pick a winner, contact them to get their addresses, and send yarn their way. Be sure to use a real email address so I can contact you if you’ve won (I won’t do anything with those email addresses besides notify the winner). If I do email you, I need to hear back from you within 72 hours or I will pick a new winner and contact them. Sorry, but I can only send prizes to US addresses.
Hmmm…what to cast on next! So many choices, but I think it will be Metopsilus Porcellus. It’s such a lovely sock!
Hats! All of a sudden, all I want to knit is hats!
I am going to try for M. Porcellus too. Had too many other projects to finish so missed the last KAL and want to get back on track. Love the new hat pattern!
Socks of course from one of your patterns!!!
My next project is going to be The Meltwater Pullover. I’m doing an impromptu KAL with some friends at my LYS. I’ve never done a colorwork sweater before – I’m very excited!
Love the hat – so adorable!
I am going to cast on a hat for charity.
I just cast on the Mystik Spiral Socks this morning. I also need to get started on the socks for this month’s KCC2 KAL.
Since I just finished my Metopsilus porcellus Cowl, I am getting ready to cast on the socks!
My next cast on is going to be your Delias Eucharis socks for the SKA May KAL (theme: flora/fauna). I have some really pretty Skein Top Draw Sock that I’m planning to use.
A pair of socks for afghans for Afghans, with perhaps a pair of mittens to accompany them.
I’m casting on toe up Amenable socks in fluorescent green and aqua DK. That pattern is addictive! : )
I’ve been swatching for Whispers by Veera Valimaki – so anxious to get going on a summer top!
I am looking today for a quick knit to make a toy for my 1 year old granddaughter – finish by Sunday
My next new project is going to be a cozy for my ‘not a paper cup’ – I gave all the ones I made away, and left my own fingers to burn. Not good for knitting!
Like someone else said earlier, I have an urge to knit hats, of all things! I first want to make the Forest Imp by Wooly Wormhead for my grandson for next winter.
Socks, but I need to figure out which ones will make the best knitting for my upcoming First Cruise!
I’m currently knitting a Utsukushii wrap (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/bonniebeth/utsukushii). It’s beautiful, but I’m beginning to get antsy to start something else. I have some self-striping sock yarn that needs to become socks, maybe Hederas?
Lucent, of course!
This hat is so adorable (of course) !
I’m going to our LYS in Belfast, ME on the weekend because they just started to carry Quince and Co yarns.
I’ll cast on the lida shawl by Bristol Ivy using Sparrow. That’s a delightful linen summer accessory.
I’m going to cast on a baby sweater for my new nephew, born yesterday!
Socks — for me! After spending last year knitting 14 pairs for holiday gifts for people I love, I am going to make myself my first pair of handknitted socks!!
Technically my next cast-on will be sock 2 of Ogden by CoopKnits. But after that, hmm, maybe something from Wool People 7.
Lucent! My daughter loves this style of hat and she’ll love the wristlets too !
I’m a hats or toys kind of girl. That and the occasional baby ware knitter. My daughter actually could use a nice little cool weather something to keep her cozy during early summer nights. I think I’ll make her a Maile Sweater from What To Knit When You’re Expecting. And that color way you used in Lucent is one of our faves. Hurray!!
I will be casting on for some socks, always have socks on the needles. And they’re going to be green, maybe some Plucky green.
