Soon…
So this happened.
That’s all the pieces and parts of KCC3, fresh from the printer. When you get a book made, you get lots and lots of packages with various iterations of the project. They all have jobs to do (check the color, make sure the pages are in the right order, make sure nothing goofy has happened). They’re all fun to get, but the closer you get to the real thing, the better they are. This one’s pretty darn close. All the pieces are there, they just need to be glued together and have the spiffy coating put on the front cover (to ward off finger print smudges…it’s not on this version yet and you can already see smears where I’ve petted this one too much).
I should be getting a box of the finished ones very soon. They mail me one box as soon as they’re ready, and the rest go on a boat and take a more leisurely journey. Once they’re on that boat, I’ll have a better idea of when they’ll be arriving here and when I can open preorders. My guess is June, but I promise to let you know as dates firm up!
Oh my. Seriously, you need to stop designing patterns that I am fundamentally unable to resist purchasing. They sit and mock me from my bookshelf and my queue grows longer and longer and my knitting becomes more desperate. As a marine biologist and overall eco-dork, I am very much going to need this book!
Oh yummy. The sock on the cover just sends me over the edge. Tell the publisher to please hurry.
wheeeee! Congratulations. I can’t wait to knit the cover socks. : )
YAY!
Looks fab – no self-respecting bookshelf should be without one. Can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!
Now that IS exciting! I do love the cover socks, and have just the right hank of yarn ready and waiting. Let’s hope it doesn’t arrive too soon as I’m enjoying the anticipation and still have a few knits and re-knits I want to get done from KCC1!
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Ooooh! Exciting!
Can’t wait!
Looking forward to more viewings! Even if they are teasing ones for a while yet.
Yay, not long now!
I suspect that like the previous books, as soon as I see it I will want to knit every pair of socks in the book. But as usual, I will TRY to do the pair that is in your KAL. But then you go and release additional patterns-like your gorgeous new hat-and suddenly I have a new thing I HAVE to do RIGHT now! You are doing serious damage to my queue….
Yay! More beautiful Hunter patterns to look forward to!
I’ve loved all of your books, but this one has been the one I’ve anticipated most! It looks lovely, Hunter. Congratulations!
