Five years in
Published On: March 13, 2014

Five years ago, with very little in the way of a proper plan, I flung this website up as a place to host my first attempt at a sock pattern.  One year later, I had a book contract.  A year after that, Silk Road Socks was out.  A year after that, I’d taken the plunge into self publishing, and KCC1 was off at the printer.  A year ago, KCC2 was headed to the printer, and I’d abandoned those silly ideas about being a historian and had settled properly into the idea that this was my job.  Today, five years in, I’m spending the day settled in with a pot of tea and the final draft of KCC3 (it heads off to the printer in a week or so).

kcc3I wouldn’t be here without you.  So to everyone who reads the blog, buys the books, or knits the patterns, thank you.  I love what I do and wouldn’t want to do anything else.
