Five years in
Five years ago, with very little in the way of a proper plan, I flung this website up as a place to host my first attempt at a sock pattern. One year later, I had a book contract. A year after that, Silk Road Socks was out. A year after that, I’d taken the plunge into self publishing, and KCC1 was off at the printer. A year ago, KCC2 was headed to the printer, and I’d abandoned those silly ideas about being a historian and had settled properly into the idea that this was my job. Today, five years in, I’m spending the day settled in with a pot of tea and the final draft of KCC3 (it heads off to the printer in a week or so).
I wouldn’t be here without you. So to everyone who reads the blog, buys the books, or knits the patterns, thank you. I love what I do and wouldn’t want to do anything else.
I’m one year all-in. And you’re my inspiration. 🙂
Well, I want to make those on the front cover right now! Congrats.
I’m with Toni. I’m already trying to decide what colors I’ll make those socks in because I might need more than one pair. Love.
CONGRATS on finding your calling. : )
Congratulations on five years of inspiring knitters with your designs and kitten overlord pictures!
Thrilled for the 5 years in, really really thrilled for KCC3 and I hope you continue to enjoy this, and bring this much joy, for 50 years in or however long you can and love this for.
We love you for this!
Congratulations, Hunter! Thanks for doing what YOU love, so we can do what WE love – knitting beautiful things!
Congratulations on 5 wonderfully productive years doing something you love! Without you I wouldn’t now be the knitter that I wanted to be, so a huge thank you. Your designs are much admired on my feet too.
Congratulations! For my own selfish reasons, I’m so glad you’re doing this!
And holy cow, I love those socks on the cover.
