Greetings Underlings
We interrupt your regularly scheduled knit blogging to bring you an important kitten announcement. Kitten Overlord Barry has taken the ‘over’ part of his title a bit too seriously and devised a way to get to the top shelf of the bookcase. This does not bode well for Barry, the books, or my equanimity (he’s a leaper). That shelf is a good 6 feet off the ground. Let’s talk him down gently, ok?
Kitten Overlord Barry looks very pleased with himself!
Yes, yes he does. There’s a reason for that. He does not suffer from low self esteem!
Did the Beautiful Barry jump from your desk directly to the top shelf? It’s what my Kitten Mighty Leaper would do.
He went from the windowsill (the window was open) to the top shelf. That’s more or less understandable. What confuses me is that later that day he manged to get on top of the whole bookcase even with the window closed. He’s part acrobat.
Long as Barry stays sitting you’ll be fine. My darling Thai would get bored. Get up high. Look around. Find a freestanding object. Knock it down. Look bored down at it. Look around again and repeat. How I miss him! (Thank the goddess he never broke anything!)
Barry has been know to knock things down just to watch them fall. I can never tell if it’s malicious or just curious. He’s such a lovebug I can’t attribute any real malice, but it is sometimes unfortunate.
Obviously he is telling you that you need more books to fill all of those gaping holes. Then he would not have a space o settle into…… 😉
Man, I’ve been working hard to get rid of books I’ll never ever read again since November. I’ve found new homes for like 300 of them since then. Those spaces are hard won!
