As Promised
One furry boy leg and one partially completed sock.
The sock is actually about an inch longer than this now (String Theory Merino DK…it knits up wicked wicked wicked fast, and the cables are marvelously sharp), and I may even finish the first one this weekend. I was all worried that the yarn would be too busy for that much purl background (variegated yarns often look even more, um, enthusiastic on the purl side), but it’s coming out great.
yep yep. it is coming out great! 🙂
lovely, will it be a pattern to purchase? Looking forward to knit it 🙂
Thanks! And it almost certainly will end up as a pattern. I’m just not quite sure when or in precisely what context. (I’ve got a bunch of socks stacking up and I’m pondering what might be best to do with them.) Whatever happens with them will get explained here though, so you’re in the right place to find out more when they’re ready!
Hey, Hunter, I saw this sock with hubby looking over my shoulder, and he informed me that I “shall make those” for him, so if you need them tested, you know where to find me 🙂
Why how gracious of him! Good to know they’re finding approval with the guy contingent. And I’ll totally yell when they’re ready for testing, thanks.
I *love* those cables! How amazing would a pair of those be running down some sleeves on a men’s sweater?
LOVE the socks…and the way that you’ve done the heel design…SO cool! Crossing my fingers for this pattern for sure…
