Mix and Match
As explained the other day, I’ve only got about 70(ish…the ish is important) yards of the handspun pseudo-yarn. I want to pair it with something else to sort of stretch the goodness. I actually have a plan for (more or less) what I want to do. And do feel free to remind me of this supposed plan and laugh loudly when I get stuck and change my mind. I just need to decide which of these three yarns I’ll use for the extra bits. What do you guys think? Purple, green, or blue?
I would do the blue. In the photo, at least, it blends in the best and lets the handspun be the star.
I lean blue, as always, with the purple as my second choice.
Definitely the blue, it matches without overpowering like the purple, and unless I see the green beside it without the other two colours, it just looks too yellow. Whatever you are going to make is going to be gorgeous though!!
They’re all nice, but I’m definitely leaning towards the blue. It matches perfectly.
Blue is my favourite colour, but in this case, I like the purple.
Purple AND blue. If one colour would stretch things, two would really give you more freedom.
I like both the blue and the purple, but am leaning towards the purple as the weight of the yarn looks like a better fit.
Purple. I think the blue and the green solids kind of disappear against the vibrant colors in the handspun, while the purple makes the purple in the handspun pop.
I think blue. I think it’s just different enough to let the handspun really pop without being so different that it’s distracting.
Purple would be my vote with the blue a close second.
I actually really like the green! Reminds me of glass washed up on the beach in winter….
Purple! I love the purple with the variegated.
