Just a Hint of Crazy
Published On: June 18, 2012

Knots on Saturday was so much fun.  I’ll confess I was nervous.  I was actually fairly convinced that either no one would come or that people would come and would tell me my books suck.  Or maybe someone would pick up a sock, turn it inside out, unweave the end, and start unraveling it.  Or perhaps someone would bring some sort of specially trained small child, one covered in grape jelly and armed with magic markers, and encourage it to roll around on the knitting.  Really.  This is the stuff I found myself worrying about the night before.  This isn’t exactly surprising, as I am a bit of a crazy person (I’m admitting this up front so you don’t have to wonder how to tactfully bring up the possibility).

None of these things happened.  Instead, I got to meet lovely people, talk about their projects, help them pick out yarn, and generally do other knitterly stuff.  People said nice things.  People showed me their projects.  It was splendid. I think I will have to see if there’s a way to do a few more of these at other places.  If you’re faiiiiirly close to Cleveland (within about a 3 hour drive or so), and want me to come to your LYS, have someone from the store get in touch and we’ll see what we can work out.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go continue getting ready for TNNA.  If you thought I was nervous about going to Knots, you should hear the excitingly ridiculous things I’m worrying about for TNNA.  This is a whole new level of crazy, you’d be impressed.
