Chamfer, Again
Published On: February 15, 2012

Alas, I was scandalously remiss in not telling you more about yesterday’s Chamfer socks.

Perhaps most importantly, I should tell you about the yarn.  It’s Dream in Color’s Everlasting Sock.  Which might just be one of my new favorite sock yarns.  It’s made up of 8 tiny, tightly twisted plies, so the stitch definition is fabulous.  It’s a 420 yard hank, so there’s plenty of yarn for even the biggest of feet.  And the colors are, as always with Dream in Color, absolutely amazing.

All of which brings up something else I should tell you.  Yesterday’s pictures are too…red.  The real color is much closer to what you see here.  The camera and I were having some sort of argument over white balance and lighting conditions and likely some other stuff I don’t quite grok.  The short version is that this picture shows the colorway (called Daylilly) much more accurately.

Finally, the pattern itself.  It’s the sort of pattern I like especially well.  The kind where it looks like you’ve done something ridiculously complicated, but the actual doing of it was pretty darn simple.  A bit of ribbing, one simple little lace repeat, and you’re all set.  I think you’ll have fun with it!
