Goodies
It’s been a little while since we had a giveaway, hasn’t it? Let’s fix that!
Way back when, I mentioned that Suzan at Barking Dog Yarns was using one of the patterns from The Knitter’s Curiosity Cabinet as part of her new sock club. The February shipment just went out so now I can show it to you. It’s a lovely clear kelly green, which will look smashing with the Loasa lateritia sock pattern. See? Doesn’t it make you think of spring?
I’ve got a skein of the yarn to mail out to one lucky knitter, and I’ll send along a copy of the pattern too. If you think you might like to win this, just leave a comment telling me what you’re planning to knit next. You’ve got till the end of the day Friday to leave the comment. Do be sure to use a real email address or else I won’t be able to tell you if you’ve won. Never fear, I won’t do anything with the addresses except contact the winner.
Hello, the yarn is beautiful. Next project is a lace shawl for my husbands Godmother turning 70. She wants one for the evening on her backporch and such a birthday requires a BIG knitted gift. Would love to win :)))
Birgitta (Jilaroo on ravelry)
I’m thinking my next project might be another pair of socks for the Hazel Knits KAL before it ends this month. Maybe Inlay?
I’m already saving up yarns for several patterns from the new book.
What a gorgeous green! I’m currently in the middle of an enormous lace cardigan with beads – it’s the biggest project I’ve ever tackled so I’m thinking something nice and small when it’s done! I’m sure some more socks… I’ve had my eye on your ‘Louche’ and ‘Inlay’ patterns for a while so I think it might have to be one of those.
I really loved working with the Teal Mist Barking Dogs Yarn on my Mashads!! This yarn is really pretty too! The next thing I expect to Cast On is a pair of Monkey fingerless mitts for my friend Michelle. She dyed yarn at Meghan’s birthday party and is not a knitter. The yarn is rich blue and green so I call it the Lochness colorway and am glad I get to knit it up since I was admiring as she hand-painted it. Since I’ve no idea how it will knit up, wish me luck!
That color is beautiful! I am thinking of knitting a pair of fingerless gloves next. I love their versatility!
That yarn looks really pretty! The next project I’m going to be casting on is a wedding shawl for my brother’s fiancee. They’re getting married at the end of May, so I have to get a bit of a move on soon.
My next project will be a bag for my Guild’s Sneaky Sheep Swap. Haven’t picked out what bag I’m going to make yet. Have lots of patterns in mind, though. Of course, in between all my projects, I always have a pair of socks on my needles.
Of course, this doesn’t take into account the projects currently on my needles.
I’ve JUST started a sweater for my sister. It’s my first time knitting a garment for someone above the age of 8 months, so I’m nervous about the fit. When that’s done, I’ll be rewarding myself with some brightly colored shawl!
The next thing going on my needles is a hoodie from a pattern by Knitting Pure & Simple: neckdown hooded pullover for men. After finishing lots of small projects, I have a yen to knit something bigger.
I’m swatching for my first pair of fingering weight socks. And just from the swatch attempts I can tell that these are going to take FOREVER compared to my usual worsted wt socks!
That really is a nice bright spring has to come soon colorway 🙂
I’m a sucker for a really nice green…and that’s a really nice green!
Once I finish some socks, I plan to cast on either a fancy pair of gloves – cables and twisted stiches! – or a sweater for me – cables and twisted stitches!
I’ll probably do both…
That is a beautiful spring color and I would love to win it.
As for what I’m going to knit next, I’m participating in Nerd Wars on Ravelry, and one of the challenges this month is to knit something for a high tech gadget. My earbuds irritate my ears sometimes, so, you’re probably going to laugh at me, but I intend to knit my earbuds some cozies out of leftover sock yarn.
Oh! Lovely, I adore that pattern. My next project is going to be a Here and There hat, but then I’ll probably cast on some Afshari socks!
What a lovely green! Very bright and cheery.
The next thing I’ll be knitting is a Pretty Thing cowl for my SIL’s Christmas gift. Yes, for this past Christmas. Oops!
In my defence, I’m still trying to finish the mitts for my brother for the same event … this year I’ll start the gifts a bit earlier! LOL
Just finished a cowl for myself and now my daughter has hinted she would like either a Honey Cowl or the Avery Cowl. As soon as she decides on the pattern, I’ll be casting on!
The only projects on my mind right now are the ones I’m in the middle of. a Howlcat for the boyfriend, a pi shawl blanket for a friend, and a pair of socks I keep meaning to get back to. I am looking forward to casting on to a cute little cropped cardigan though.
I love that Green!
Having just finished a sweater for me, I think that the next thing on my needles will be one for my 4yr old son.
I plan to try my hand at lace knitting with a simple pattern called the Sunshine scarf for sad people on Rav. I love the name 🙂 That yarn looks cheerful, too!
I’m reading about socks now!! I’m finishing a stripe study shawl and am looking for a new sock pattern. I can’t decide between lace or cables… What a lovely colour!
im all about knitting sweaters this year so my next project i think will be this cardigan http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/camilla-pullover
That color is gorgeous. The next thing that I am
am planning to cast on is a baby sweater. And
also another pair of knucks.
Next project? I could lie and say I’m taking a break from socks. Do I need more socks? No. Will I cast on another pair soon? Yes.
Actually I’m planning on knitting the foliate set as soon as I get my yarn from HK. It should match my spring jacket I hope.
I had started a plain pair of socks but after completing the first sock, I participated in the Hazel Knits KAL of Linaria Bipartita. Now that I have finished those, I am knitting the second plain sock. That is my travel project. I have also started a sweater for my 14yo daughter. We still have freezing temps here, so thinking Spring sounds lovely!!
I’m not sure what I’ll be knitting next. But I definitely know I’d love to knit this pattern! Thanks for the chance to win.
