Finally!
Fellow knitters, because I love you and want you to be happy, I’m going to share my discovery with you. For the last two years I’ve been bemoaning the lack of graph paper post-its. I’ve drawn vertical lines on the sort of post-its that come with horizontal lines. I’ve put tape on regular graph paper. I’ve even looked into getting custom post-its printed. But none of it was quite right.
Then today, as I was doing the pre-holiday-crazies run through Target, I saw them. They were sitting right there on the rack, like they were just normal post-its and not some sort of glorious innovation meant to brighten the day of knitters everywhere. Graph paper post-its. I danced a little jig right there. Then I put them all in my cart before anyone else could see them and make me share (unlikely I know but always possible).
But because I am a good person (and because I have secured my own stash…and because I want these to sell well enough that they continue to be made), I present you with your very own source for the elusive graph paper post-it. You know you need them.
i share your passion for post-its. and the DIU method of making up stuff that doesn’t exist.
still, i can’t help but feel a little empty when i actually find what i’ve been looking for. forced creative solutions have a certain appeal.
The do it yourself approach has a huge appeal…and it’s lovely to know we can do it if we need to…but in this case, I’m sticking with my happy dance and shameless commercialism! None of my diy solutions had been quite perfect, and this was too good to pass up.
I love everything graph paper!! Thank you!
Those are seriously cool! I love graph paper (being a math teacher, I have an affinity for it)! It’s in my blog banner, even. My knitting ID, yarnintercept, refers to graphing a line. Those little grids are wonderful! I have graph index cards – both 3×5 and 4×6, but post its?! Perfect! I must get some. Thanks for the tip!
Beverly, I went to German schools as a kid and the usual school writing paper was graph paper. It made such good sense for math/science classes. I loved it and still snatch up grid notebooks whenever I have the chance!
I found these about 9 months ago and reccommend them to all my knitting students–giving them a page for their projects to get them used to it! I now pretty much buy a pack or two every time when I go to Office Depot. They are great for keeping track of multiple row patterns, decreases, for designing.
