As I mentioned the other day, I’ve been off on another marvelous little knitting trip.  This one was to work with the inimitable Cat Bordhi for a week on my next book.  It was an amazing experience.  I left knowing that there will be more books and feeling that I have the skills and tools necessary to make them fabulous.  Alas, I’m not really ready to discuss the specifics of either the class or the upcoming books.  I’m still thinking it all over myself.

In the meantime, I will leave you with this picture.  Do you see those socks?  Those cheerful yellow ribbed socks?

No, I didn’t knit them.

Barbara Walker did.

Yes that Barbara Walker.

It’s about as close as I get to feeling like I’m in the presence of a holy relic.

That little tag at the top says BGW in Her Eminence’s very own handwriting.  And check out the heel turn…it’s kinda nifty.  Even more nifty, they were knit flat and seamed.

I may have rubbed them on my socks in progress for good luck.  More details about said sock in progress and the pattern for Louche over the next few days!
