Unwavering
Published On: June 5, 2018

So it seems I couldn’t stop with just the hat, I needed some cuffs too.  They’re called Unwavering, they’re out now, and you can them get 10% off with the code STEADFAST (but read on, because if you want the matching hat, you can do something cooler).

I like this more than any reasonable person should.  It’s not hard…it’s not fancy…it shouldn’t be this amusing.  And yet somehow, it is.

On the hat I had the lovely orange stripe go swirling off on a little jaunt.  Here I kept the stripe steady and instead let the thumb gussets do all the fancy swirly action.  It should take more than that to amuse me, but apparently, it doesn’t.  I’m oddly comforted to know you guys share my fascination though…I may be weird, but at least I’m in good company!

And yes, I totally got the hat (and two pompoms) and the cuffs out of one skein each of Manos del Uruguay’s Alegria and Clara.  And I have a shockingly large head, so I suspect you guys can easily get the full set from one skein of each yarn too!

And I’m trying something a little new with this pattern.  I’m using one of ravelry’s nifty features to make them into a set.  If you just want Unwavering all by itself, you can do that, and get it for 10% off with the code STEADFAST.  Just put Unwavering in your ravelry cart, click on the ‘use a coupon code’ button, and type in the code STEADFAST.  You’ll see the change in price reflected right away.

But if you’d rather have Wavering and Unwavering both, you can get the set for $10.90 (that’s a savings of $3.00 off the price of the individual patterns).  If you want to do that, just put Wavering and Unwavering both in your ravelry cart.  The price will be adjusted automatically (you don’t need a code).  And don’t worry, if you’ve already bought Wavering, whatever you spent on it will be counted towards the price of the set (as long as you’re logged your ravelry account when you make both purchases).  The STEADFAST code and the $3.00 discount will work through the end of the day, eastern time, Friday June 8 (after that the code expires and the automatic discount will be smaller).

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take advantage of it being 54 degrees and drizzly in June and wear these outside (I’m going to try showing them off a bit on Instagram stories later today, so if you follow me over there, you can see them in action)!
