Somehow (we won’t dwell on how), I’ve managed to go something close to a year and a half without casting on a pair of socks for myself.  Now, part of this is due to the state of my sock basket (full) and part of it is due to my calendar (also full).  But some of it is clearly due to some sort of character flaw.  So Saturday, as I finally rendered the stinky yarn usable (lots and lots and lots of washing and lots of time in the sunshine), and contemplated its sock-like characteristics, I realized I just had to cast on.

I don’t know quite how these will turn out, but I have a feeling I’ll like them.  You should expect to see more as they grow.
